Meryl Dorey is President of the Australian Vaccination Network (AVN) and Editor of Living Wisdom magazine. The AVN was founded in 1994 due to a need in the community for independent information about the issue of vaccination and support for those who have chosen not to vaccinate or to vaccinate selectively. For the past 15 years, the AVN has lobbied to ensure free choice when it comes to vaccination and all health issues. Its magazine, Informed Choice, began mass-market distribution in 2002. It has recently changed its name to Living Wisdom and covers the issues of vaccination, natural health, instinctive parenting and the environment. With contributions from some of the most prestigious writers in these areas, it aims to inform, entertain and inspire its readers as well as making them more proactive in regards to these vital issues.
